The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has successfully launched Chandrayaan-2 a mission designed to land on and study the south pole of the Moon. The successful launch occurred July 22, 2019 after a couple of delays the spacecraft is on it’s way. But why go to the south pole? What’s so great about that spot? NASA is also planning to go there with the Artemis mission.
