Watch Dogs 2 – PC Ultra vs. PS4 vs. Xbox One Graphics Comparison

We compare the graphics of Watch Dogs 2 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The PC is set to customized ultra settings played at 1080p, as you can see at the end of the video. That means we set enhanced level of detail "Extra Details" to 100%, which is normally not activated in the ultra graphics preset. We also used HBAO+ and MSAA 4x, which are also not activated in the ultra graphics preset. Normally ultra settings contain SSAO and SMAA post processing, no temporal or multi-sampling anti-aliasing. We did not activate the Nvidia settings PCSS or HFTS, both are alternative shadow options and TXAA because they crashed our performance – even on 1080p with our GTX 1080. Maxing everything out (HFTS + TXAA 8x) would drop our fps below 20.

Wir vergleichen die Grafik von Watch Dogs 2 auf PC, PS4 und Xbox One. Die PC Version ist auf benutzerdefinierte Grafik-Details gestellt, basierend auf dem Ultra-Preset. Eine Übersicht über die Grafik-Optionen gibt es am Ende des Videos. Wir haben hier in 1080p gespielt. Unsere Grafik-Einstellungen beinhalten den erweiterten Detailgrad "Zusatzdetails" auf 100%, dieser ist auf Ultra sonst aus, dazu nutzen wir noch HBAO+ als Option für die Umgebungsverdeckung und MSAA 4-fach als Kantenglättungsoption. Das Ultra Preset nutzt normalerweise die post-processing Kantenglättung SMAA als einzige Anti-Aliasing Option und SSAO für die Umgebungsverdeckung. Im Video haben wir auf die alternativen Schatten-Optionen von NVIDIA verzichtet – PCSS oder HFTS – ebenso auf TXAA, da trotz unserer GTX 1080 die Bildrate stellenweise unter 20 fps gerutscht ist. Auf dem Ultra Preset ohne unsere Anpassungen lief das Spiel hingegen flüssig, mit unseren Anpassungen dann bei 35 bis 45 fps.
