Since Voyager 1 discovered the Jovian auroras in 1979, several observatories have captured them in x-ray, ultraviolet and visible light. The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope was used to snap imagery of the auroras for about a month, while NASA's Juno spacecraft flew through the solar wind that was creating them. -- Learn More About the Jovian Auroras:
