In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew travels by rail car up the Shavers Fork River high on Cheat Mountain in West Virginia with Research Scientist Paul Kinder. Their mutual goal is to test whether a drone equipped with a thermal imaging camera can help scientists working to restore native brook trout habitat. The fish thrive in cold water, and if scientists can use a drone to determine where cold water enters the river from tributaries and underground springs, they can perform habitat restoration work where it will have the greatest benefit.
