The FrSky Delta 8 receiver claims to work with Futaba S-FHSS, Hitec's AFHSS and FrSky's own ACCST 2.4GHz protocols so I decided to do a head-to head comparison between the Delta8 and the branded receivers.
Summary:
The Delta8 sure seems to offer more range than the Hitec Optima 7 receiver when used with the Flash 7 -- a whopping 25%-30% more in fact.
The Delta8 offers the same range as a genuine Futaba receiver when used with the T6K transmitter but it did seem more prone to occasional dropouts -- so I'll be checking to see if this shows up in some proper flight tests a little later.
This receiver was purchased for the normal retail price from HobbyKing.
