When I first bought the FrSky 2.4ghz module for my Futaba 10CAP radio, I was already happy to see the way it performed, offered ease of use and good range, plus real cheap to buy. I did not expect such great performance out of such an affordable system for Futaba Radios. But then when I put it to real life test using my Trusted Skywalker FPV Plane, and pushed the system to its limits, I instantly fall in love with FrSky Systems. On this flight we were running a 1000mw 1.2ghz Video Transmitter that certainly needed a Low pass filter to use with 2.4ghz systems, but without a low pass filter and using only Stock Duck antenna on FrSky Telemetry 2.4ghz Module, we actually successfully hit a 3km milestone FPV Flight without loosing our plane. On the way back though Failsafe RTH kicked in but it all has to do with the way Receiver antennas were mounted and of course not using Low pass filter on Video Transmitter and better antenna on radio.
On our next flight we will use a FrSky 2.4ghz Patch antenna on radio module, Low pass filter on Video transmitter and will mount the Receiver to have the antennas under the plane belly. Enjoy this 3km FPV flight with our commentary where I and Jeffrey were talking to each other. I was flying with Video goggles and he was enjoying the FPV flight using FoxtechFPV DVR screen.
