Despite the concerns raised in this video I still think the Aomway Commanders are one of the best-value video goggles on the market today.
In this video I repair my Aomway Commander video goggles which developed an annoying intermittent reboot problem. Turns out, even though I was *sure* that the power cord wasn't the problem -- it actually was (duh!).
Never the less, it was a good opportunity to tear down these goggles and take a closer look at the design and build quality. Although they still represent pretty good value for money, I was disappointed in the "bodges" and the way this set had been "thrown" together -- with flat-flex cables crushed and improperly routed.
The only remaining concern is that when the commanders are subjected to even the shortest of power-glitches, they go black until fully power-cycled, whereas my SkyZone goggles will completely reboot and start working again.
