It actually didn’t rain on Sunday, I kid you not! That meant that a few of us had to scurry to the field to fly! Strong winds pushed the rain away for a day which was nice. On the other hand, that meant it was windy as.....well, it was very windy.
Paul was one of the few brave soles that put a plane up. Paul brought out his good old E-flite DHC-Beaver and laughed in the wind’s face. Ha! All kidding aside, it was so windy that the DHC-2 (which is quite heavy) got tossed around like a ragdoll.
Paul stayed pretty high for most of the flight so I was on full zoom a lot of the time. Sorry for the shaky footage!
Before this flight, I threw a 48” 3D foamie in the air and had a blast flying backwards for the whole battery.
It has rained 27 out of the last 29 days. This winter has sucked big time. The only thing that can get rid of our rain clouds is wind, and lots of it. We are truly cursed at the moment. By the way, the wind has died down and we have returned to rain. You guys in Arizona don’t know how good you have it!
This is my first video with the new computer and software, etc. I have no idea what I'm doing so please bear with me for a few videos.
