50% EP Clipped Wing J3 - Field Assembly
This one is just for fun. It's a quick look at Geoff putting together his 50% split fuse 180" (15') wingspan EP Clipped Wing J3 Cub (whew!) before its maiden flight. From now on we'll just call it the big Cub, okay?
Thanks to Dave C for lending a hand and for making it possible to fly the cub at his club in Mission BC. (RCFCBC). It was nice to meet you Dave!
The assembly took about 45 minutes (not counting time for a good BS session!)
We're going to do a video that takes a close look at the method Geoff uses to secure the two fuse halves so stay tuned!
