The nation's ultimate bragging rights basketball competition came to Philadelphia on Saturday, July 13, 2013 with the goal of finding the city's best basketball players. The top 100 players from Philly and its surrounding areas came together at Girard College to compete for a chance to represent Philly in the final battle this fall at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Local players including former Simon Gratz High and West Virginia University standout Jarrett Kearse, Overbrook High alum David "Buhzz" Taylor, Sr., among many others, put their skills on display at Red Bull Midnight Run.
Washington D.C., Chicago, NYC, LA, Atlanta, Indianapolis, Houston and New Orleans are also hosting regional events and will send their eight best players to represent in the epic final in Brooklyn with the goal of settling the long-standing debate: Which city produces the best basketball players?
