Edge540 Redbull Nitro RC plane is my My oldest of planes. I built the plane in 2008. And after a while I stopped flying it and it was mostly sleeping in my storage. Last time I flew it was in January 2014. Since then it slept again in storage. Lately I found that plane was deteriorating, mostly structure wise. Balsa was getting soft and breaking and falling apart from many places. I wanted to see if plane was still able to fly and electronics and engine was still working, and wanted to enjoy flying my old king of skies.
I brought the plane out. 7 years old ASP engine was clogged, Carburetor was jammed, Fuel lines were clogged with Gooey old nitro. Luckily my engine starting gear was still working. Having all my nitro engine experience, I started working on this old Engine and got it to start with little effort. Plane woke up again, and I was happy to see my old Edge540 redbull was still able to fly.
Unfortunately on the very flight, I had to crash land it due to issues I faced during flight. It was a good bye time I believe. Enjoy this video and see the last flight and crash of this beautiful old bird using the link given at the end of the video.
