Engineers with NASA’s Advanced Concepts Lab at the Langley Research Center in Virginia have dreamed up a wild idea for sending astronauts to Venus. The HAVOC mission (High-Altitude Venus Operational Concept) would send a huge airship crewed by two astronauts to explore Venus from the planet’s atmosphere. NASA even envisions a potential fleet of airships over Venus, a veritable cloud city.
