Here's a look at a freshly painted Pro-Line Flotek body for my MIP SCTE. I go over some of the cut outs and how to cut the correct holes for your body mounts.
Here's a copy and paste on the 2012 ROAR rules for 1/10th scale short course truck:
1/10 Scale Electric Short Course Off-Road Rules
1.) A full fendered short course painted body is required. The tires can not be
visible from the top view. Windows can not be cut out. If you are using a
Proline Flotek body, you may only cut in the areas in the louvers as designed.
You may cut a 1/2" x 3-1/2" opening behind cab on non-flotek bodies.
Bodies can not be home made. They must be a purchased lexan short course body.
No additional side dams or spoilers allowed.
2.) The minimum motor limit is a 10.5 turn 540 size sensored brushless motor, maximum
REVISED 4600 kv sensorless brushless motor, or a 4-pole 4000 kv sensorless brushless motor.
4/24/2012 If you are not certain that your motor meets these requirements, contact the race
director prior to the race.
3.) Any production 1/10 scale short course truck may be used . No home fabricated
trucks.
4.) Batteries are limited to NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) 7 cell 8.4 volt or ROAR
approved 2S Lipo 7.4 volt in a hard shell case.
5.) Lipo Batterries must be charged in a charging sack.
6.) Tires must be purchased 1/10 short course tires only. Buggy tires not allowed.
7.) All trucks must run a transponder. Each driver is responsible for their own
transponder. There will be an opportunity to test transponders to confirm that
they are working properely. Ex: If you are running in first place and your transponder
is not working, you will not be scored.
8.) All trucks will be 2WD only. If you want to race a 4WD, you must disable the front
wheels.
9.) All radios must operate on a 2.4 GHz frequency. No crystal radios allowed.
10.) No metal bumpers allowed. Bumpers must be plastic.
11.) Any gear ratio allowed.
12.) The minimum weight limit is 74ozs. Your truck must meet this requirement. If not,
REVISED then you must add weight to meet the weight limit. All weights added must be

Other rules may be added throughout the year as needed.
