There have been four major titles in the series: Animal Crossing (Gamecube), Wild World (Nintendo DS), City Folk (Nintendo Wii), and New Leaf (Nintendo 3DS). However, the series originally started out on the Nintendo 64 (N64) in Japan. This game was built upon multiple times, and ultimately released in the west on the Gamecube.
