I was at one of the West Coast Drone Racing League events and in between races, I started chatting with Tim Bakonyi from FPV Mafia. Tim (aka “Troublesome”) is one of the top pilots in the league and has an amazing level of passion for drone racing. It soon became apparent that he is not only an awesome pilot but also takes an engineer’s approach to building his quads. His search for the ultimate racing setup resulted in designing and making his own frames which in turn, led to creating FPV Mafia, a company that manufactures carbon fibre frames and accessories here in Canada. Tim and his partner Corry Braden (aka “Porkins”) produce frames in a number of sizes and they have also developed some new products focused on FPV racing that they sell on their website at fpvmafia.com
It was a great day of racing and I will be back for more.
