This video is primarily intended for those of you who have been following Henry's Build Thread on Flying Giants. For those of you who have not seen the thread, I encourage you to take a look at it in order to appreciate the quality of this build that started with a big pile of balsa.

As for the video, we had a brief break in between two storm systems that brought in a lot of rain. Henry was preparing to take the plane down near Portland, Oregon for an IMAC competition this weekend and wanted to get in the maiden and trim flight before he left.
Although you will see patches of clear sky off to the left of the screen, there were enormous clouds off to the right that kept the flying field and the flight itself in dark shadow, not the best conditions to show off the amazing covering job that Henry did on this awesome Carden.

Sorry if the flight video is a bit shaky. Trying to video IMAC planes (and Pattern Ships) is not something I really enjoy because of the difficulty I have in trying to hold smooth and steady on full zoom while aiming at a small spec of a plane that is at great altitude. By the end of the maiden my arms were ready to fall off after pointing the camera almost straight up for ten minutes or so.
In any event, please join me in congratulating Henry on an awesome build and an impeccable maiden flight that required just one click of up to trim it perfectly.
Update: Henry took 1st place in the Advanced class in his first outing with this plane on the weekend following the shooting of the video! Awesome Henry!
