Please help us to find bad videos. Broken or unappropriated video content?
If a set of $400 video goggles are outside your budget then version 2 of the Quanum Video Visor from HobbyKing could be just what you need.
This product isn't perfect but its flaws can be easily addressed and for the money, it offers unbeatable performance and value.
Here are the pro's and cons...
Pro's:
- super cheap for what you get
- will work on any FPV frequency by using the appropriate receiver
- lightweight
- "plug and play" wiring
- super-quick assembly
- allows for the wearing of corrective glasses (no diopters required!)
- has a wonderfully immersive field of view
Con's:
- focus issues for many people
- all 3 fresnel lenses are the same (why?)
- top strap a little long for most heads
- the foam provided for light-blocking is too thin.
Despite a few negative points (which are easily remedied), I'd have to say that this is a "must have" product if you're into (or want to get into) FPV flying.
As a piece of FPV headware for the first-time user it will get you into the air and flying first person view at minimum cost. As a spare set of headgear it will be a wonderfully low-cost backup to your regular video glasses.
Disclosure: This product was sent for review by HobbyKing but if it was crap, I'd still have told you it was crap.
