FPV Racing Quadcopters are getting very popular and Seeing the hot trend, Zeta Science decides to jump into this business with their latest and newest S660 Max FPV Racing Quadcopter.
Zeta S660 Max comes as a PNP Quadcopter equipped with a good choice of motors, ESC + PDB board all in one, and a basic FPV System with camera and video transmitter. Not to mention, Quadcopter is equipped with a CC3D as well that you have to program properly before you can fly the Quadcopter.
Zeta S660 Max was very easy to setup. You just need to connect your favorite receiver, configure you radio and CC3D and you are good to fly. Remember to set +90 in Yaw when doing CC3D Attitude settings or Quadcopter will flip every time you try to take off.
While I was very happy with Zeta S660 Max Quadcopter tough frame and cleanest build, and great choice of electronics, Motors, ESCs that offer powerful punch of performance and speed, I was totally disappointed at the same time with the FPV System quality. Camera transferred a terribly Jello filled video that it was impossible to fly FPV with. Wireless Video range sucked big time. Seems like while Zeta did a very good job on Quadcopter flight electronics, they totally ignored the importance of FPV (Wireless Video) system which is an essential part of a FPV Racing Quadcopter.
So to conclude, Zeta Max S660 is a great FPV racing Quadcopter, a PNP version, which offers plenty of power and performance, but if you want to fly FPV Proximity or go for FPV racing with this Quadcopter, you will have to toss the Crappy stock FPV System out and put in a nice FPV System of your Choice.
Nonetheless, those who want a PNP version, Zeta S660 is a great choice. Later you can even upgrade the frame with better motors for insane power and speed using 4S batteries. And that’s what I am going to do soon because this is a great tough frame. Don’t forget, sexy canopies too.
