So there we were, sitting around the fireplace in our little clubhouse trying to wait out a wind storm when Harv excused himself. All of a sudden we saw a flash of red, white and blue heading into the sky. WTF!
Harv has a grand total of one flight on his recently acquired Chip Hyde Double Vision Biplane so something as lame as a gale force wind wasn't going to stop him from flying it again.
I grabbed the camera and didn't have time to set it up for the windy day. This actually turned out to be a blessing because this flight is really as much about the wind as it is anything else. It's not often you see a 16 pound plane get tossed around like this. As mere mortals, we sat back with slack jaws watching Harv dance with Mother Nature. I hope you enjoy the video and please remember that although I cut back on the audio to reduce the volume of the wind noise, I left it in so you could appreciate what was going on. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
