Watch my sticks move as I practice inverted yaw spins. Probably the most famous pilot who does this move is Charpu, but Mr. Steele also has some great examples of them. This move has always been hard for me for some reason, but I'm getting better!

I have a WHOLE tricks tutorial playlist full of content like this. Check it out here:

The key to inverted yaw spins is to level your copter relative to the horizon before you spin. Since your camera is up-tilted, this isn't as simple as centering the horizon in the goggles. If the copter is flat relative to the horizon, then when you spin, the horizon will stay flat. If your copter is tilted relative to the horizon, then when you spin, the horizon will roll all over the place and the move won't look awesome. This is the same reason why you need to coordinate turns with yaw and roll when flying right-side up. In theory, you could coordinate an inverted yaw spin with roll, and do it at any angle, but so far I haven't been able to pull that off. It just makes my brain hurt.

A while back, I was working on a tutorial for this move, and then Vek FPV made a great one! So if you want a detailed tutorial, here it is:
Rotor Riot also has a tutorial on inverted yaw spins, but I think they skim over the most important part, which is to level the copter relative to the horizon. Ummagawd hits on it briefly but then when the n00b is having trouble, Charpu focuses really heavily on his rates and his timing, overlooking that if he was level relative to the horizon, he could exit at any angle and the trick would work. The RR guys are much better pilots than me so maybe I'm missing something important. But I think possibly they're just better pilots than they are tutors. Mad respect!
