One of the most popular and well-made 250-class mini quadcopters on the market, the QAV250 from GetFPV and Lumenier, like all mini-quadcopters, has its good and bad points.
Good
- very high quality
- very strong and tough
- 1-piece main-frame very stiff
- spare parts readily available
- upgrade path to 6" props
- good support
- LEDs help LOS flying in the evening
- flies really nicely
Bad:
- feet bend easily in a crash
- relatively "tame" in stock form with 5x3 props
- limited flight times with more aggressive props
- one-piece frame costs more to replace than bolt-on arms
On balance, this is a great quad and the upgrade path to 6" props with tilted motors makes it good for beginner and expert alike.
To see how it can *really* fly in the hands of a great pilot and with the upgrade to 6" props, watch this video:
