This was the first time I have flown at this construction site. I had already flown through several battery packs with my Blackout Mini-H quad and three with my Havoc 340 with no problems at all. On the final flight the controls were not responding well so I tried to turn around and return to the launch point, but the controls stopped responding. It kept it's course, but the throttle suddenly went to maximum. As it started climbing away I switched to high power on my EzUHF (even though it was only 400m away) but to no avail. When it didn't respond, I activated the failsafe, which dropped the throttle to 1100rpm. She came down like a stone, but she came down. I reviewed the flight video in my goggles and walked to within 20m and heard the engines still running at 1100rpm. This COULD have been really bad without the failsafe. With that fresh battery pack it wouldn't have run out of juice until it reached the Maryland border...
Later in the shop every checked out perfectly. The controls responded correctly, as well as the throttle range. The Cleanflight configuration was still intact. All connections were tight and the OSD worked without that flicker shown in the video. It is like the Gremlin jumped off the quad right before impact...
