-This truck is a BEAST! There is an AMAZiNG film shot at 2:20 - I remember producing this video clearly. I had just returned from my first trip to Manhattan in New York. I had been there for 10 days. When I returned I felt inspired and eager to get producing film again. I was hit by a terrible cold/flu from the airplane ride home.. but still needed to get out, so I bundled up grabbed my gear, and headed outside. It was cold and damp, but I knew what I wanted to capture. I had high emotions running through me from the trip, and while in NY got to see a show on Broadway. I truly wanted to convey my creativity - and so, by using this truck - and my experience in filming, editing and scoring with emotion - I let this story unfold. I am so happy that it makes you happy and entertains you, Luke! It was one of my (in my opinion) best productions to date. Especially the disappearing act, with a crowing achievement. The entire film is a story of Hardship, Frustration, and then Reaching a Goal and Conquering the Impossible. All this from an RC film, some may say?! Yes - is my answer :~)
In this video I explore and share how to "Slow Crawl". From RC4WD, the Toyota Hilux "Trail Finder 2" Mojave 4x4 Truck is a perfect candidate for this. Many people often hear the words "Scale Trailing", yet haven't seen what Slower Crawling in low gear is like. It is truly an art form.
By first filming in 60fps, I am able to slow crawl while on the trail.. and slow-mo in post editing. By doing this, I am able to mimic how a full sized vehicle would actually tackle this type of terrain. Now, please keep in mind - this truck is a Hobby/Toy, and has different characteristics to how it operates, compared to a full sized vehicle. But, overall I am happy to show a neat set of Triumphant moments in this video, and take it to an extreme a normal vehicle cant do. Complete Submersion. I've always envisioned doing a shoot like this, since the beginning of my RC Filming career. Today I finally get to have that dream come to life on screen.
The Truck is an RC4WD Trail Finder 2: I built this truck loosely based on the UK TV Series "Top Gear". They had a series early on about "To Kill A Toyota" A Red Hilux like this one was used. This is my Model of what happened AFTER the show was completed in the UK..Lol. More info Down below. I used 1.9 Sized Rims, and 1.55 RC4WD Mudslingers stretched over the rims.
The music I used in this film is by Artist: Tim McMorris
The track is called "Translation"
I have a Paid License to use this song for this film.

I filmed this video in its entirety, Editing and Producing it with a Paid Version of Production Software: Final Cut Pro X, and Several Plugins on my iMAC: 27" i5 2.8GHZ 16GB of Ram.
I used a GoPro Hero2 and a couple of PRO-Grade Sony 1080HD Cameras
If you would like to know more about this Vehicle, I have a playlist that will show What I used to Build it, What type of Truck it is, and how I made the Body, Step by Step.
