In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew unboxes the Yuneec Wizard, a streamlined, miniature remote control for the company's Typhoon quadcopters. After binding the Wizard to the camera drone, it uses accelerometers and gyroscopes in addition to its own GPS receiver, to allow the pilot to control the aircraft with a series of button pushes and wrist movements. It also enables a “point-to-fly” capability, allowing the user to point the Wizard at a spot in the sky and direct the drone to fly to that location with the press of a single button. The Wizard also serves as a target for “Watch Me” mode, keeping the person carrying it in frame while autonomously following their movements. The package also includes an armband with a water-resistant seal, for use in wet environments.
