The “COPILOT” Method
Average Hobbyist shares with the community the “COPILOT” method for preparing to flight, which is a great way to ensure that everything works, and you are safe to fly.
C – Clear: Clear the area – Make sure there is nothing that could get damaged. (People, Objects, Animals)
O – On: Turn everything on – Make sure everything is on and functioning.
P – Props: Check your propeller rotation – Make sure you have the right props on the correct motors and that they are spinning the right direction.
I – Interference: Check the goggles – Look for any video interference to ensure you have a strong signal.
L – Linked: Check the transmitter – Make sure your transmitter is communicating and controlling the aircraft.
O – Overhead: Check above you – Look for obstacles such as power lines, buildings, trees, or manned aircraft.
T – Take Off: Have fun!
