A quick follow-up to the RC Plane Storage video. See more below...
When you shop for the fittings, make sure you get the slip/slip versions. They also sell threaded fittings and combo units that are threaded on one end and smooth (slip) on the other. You have to sort through them because it seems that people chuck the fittings back in the wrong bin. Inspect every fitting you purchase to make sure that it has a slip fitting on every opening.
You can use a hacksaw to quickly cut the lengths of pvc however, the easiest and best way, aside from an actual pvc cutter, is to use a set of pipe cutters that you would use to cut copper tubing, etc. They are fast, make a nice clean cut, and there's no annoying plastic sawdust that you get when you use a hacksaw.
And by the way, I have 11 1/2' ceilings in the garage in case you were wondering how I could walk under the bottom plane.
Please feel free to rate and comment. If you really like to live on the edge, please subscribe and I'll keep the videos coming. Cheers.
