This video consists of two uncut flights testing of a sample set of Dragonfly 5045 Bullnose props from FPVModel.com. We were asked to test these and provided feedback on these props, essentially wanting to know if they should go ahead and go into production with them.
When checking them for balance the sample set we got were significantly better then the HQ5045 Bullnose we normally use on our Quads. On thrust test they produced the following when compared to HQ:
Full Throttle Test Using SunnySky 2300KV Motor
HQ 5045 Bullnose 3S = 539g Thrust
DF 5045 Bullnose 3S = 534g Thrust
HQ 5045 Bullnose 4S = 801g Thrust
DF 5045 Bullnose 4S = 755g Thrust
The main advantage with the Dragonfly Props is the fact that they can take a hit and usually don’t break which essentially means far less downtime with prop replacement.
