I am sorry for the delay in putting this together guys, but here it is at last - the FIRST, I think, proper long range test of the FrSky R9M module and R9 receiver, flashed with the EU LBT firmware on 868Mhz, at the 500mW power level. As I got this system recently, I know people have been complaining about range issues, but with the Feb 2018 firmware, I did not see any problems whatsoever! Part of the reason for the issues is that I see a lot of people in Europe using the FCC firmware... and that will clash heavily with the Mobile Networks operating in that same 900Mhz+ range, that I am not surprised they don't see a stable connection! In any case, I am absolutely blown away by how seamlessly easy this thing is to use, unlike those weird 433Mhz systems that need a separate mount to hold them in some weird position, and throw the whole radio out of balance, and also how well it worked! In addition, 868Mhz for EU, and the 900Mhz firmware for US cause A LOT less interference in other electronics than 433Mhz.. so here is one more reason to use this one! Besides... you get great integration with FrSky's proven S.Port technology and sensors, and that is a great benefit!
