The RunCam Eagle V2 Pro has a native 16:9 widescreen sensor. When it's switched to 4:3 mode, the field of view is only 140 degrees. So I tried putting a wide-angle lens on it, and the result was... insane.
People often ask, what's the best lens for FPV? We all pretty much agree these days that 2.8mm is too narrow, but how wide is too wide? I think I finally found my answer. This test DRAMATICALLY shows the effects of going to a wider-angle lens: more peripheral vision, but obstacles seem to jump out at you suddenly, it's harder to hit small gaps, and hitting the apex of turns is more difficult.
